And also report her to the DWP and HMRC?

      Re: Trivial matter

Thing is, she has decided to communicate by posted letter now it seems of her own accord.

Wondering if I should ask for a copy of the contract I signed. And include in the letter that she hasn't provided sufficient evidence that I owe her the money. And should I leave it at that or state that this is as the two invoices show that I owe the money for different weeks?

Also can I dispute the admin and late fees seeing as she put these on my bill only 4 days after saying I should pay at my earliest convenience. She never specified a day.

Well it's not going too well. The amount she is saying I owe is now £68 due to all the late fees she is adding. She suggested mediation but I said that I did not agree to paid mediation as the cost is disproportionate to the amount in dispute.

I received the postal order today which has been torn into small pieces. I paid £13.50 for that postal order. She has suggested that she gave me a copy of the contract in which she says that she can charge these late fees and that I have mislaid it but I know that I didn't get any copy of a contract. I don't even remember seeing any terms like these. All I remember is signing something that said she was allowed to let my dog off the lead.

She has said that I either pay £50 for mediation or she will take me to small claims. I don't see the point in any mediation. She says I owe it, I say I don't. I don't understand what she thinks mediation will achieve. I did say that if I am forced to take time away from work to deal with this matter then I would counter claim for loss of earnings. I'm a contractor and I don't get paid if I don't work.
She is now also saying that she is having to take time away from work to write letters etc so I can possibly expect that the amount she is demanding will increase.

I really have no idea what to do now. If I did owe the money, I would have paid it. At this rate it is going to end up being a large amount of money.

I'd appreciate any suggestions on what I can do now

The contract isn't worth anything to her unless she can produce a copy of it signed by you. You need to write to her with a formal request for it, and keep a copy of the request.

If it were me, Cardinal, I would sue her (take her to small claims) for all my money back, adding all the extra expense her unpleasant, bullying attitude has caused.

Or let her take you to small claims and defend (counterclaim) vigorously.

The woman is an out-of-control nightmare.

Please do report her to the tax man as well.aw:

I will ask for a copy of this contract. Seems a bit unfair that she keeps referring to something I don't have a copy of.

This is just really getting me down now. I feel like i'm being bullied. Was thinking of going to Citizen's Advice but have avoided it til now. Didn't want to take the time off work...
