    hi ,i recieved a part36 offer and below the letter it states that if i reject the offer then iam liable for any cost implications,i called my solicitors regarding what they have wrote and i was informed that there will not be any extra cost implications due to the fact that my solicitors have not sent out a letter saying to acept then if i choose to reject ,that extra cost implication can be applied,i was informed it wont effect me but iam feel very weiry about my soicitor,if it is not effecting me why write it down.can you help me out please iam really confused,thank you

    Hiya, We'll probably need a little bit more info. What kind of claim is it, are you claiming against someone or are they claiming against you ?

    Heres a link to the CPR surrounding part 36. PART 36 - OFFERS TO SETTLE - Ministry of Justice
    also the practise directions - Practice Direction 36, Practice Direction 36B

    Part 36 offers can only be used after judgment for assessing costs, and it will only adverley affect you if you lose and they gain judgment for a greater amount than the part 36 offer, basically.
