Can someone tell me about this new GDPR system. I have been sent junk mail from Royal London who claim that they farm this out to Experian. Experian use their own mailing list. As I am not signed up to Experian how do they have my data. I was under the impression that companies had to reaffirm that you want this.

Why don't you send an SAR to Experian and include in it that you'd like to know when and how they obtained permission to process your data.
