  • Metropolitan Police Definition of A Hate Crime

    Hi everyone. This is my first post here.

    Someone posted this today on an internet forum and I am very curious to get an opinion from any legal professionals on what appears to me to be an Orwellian word salad that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

    Apart from being completely nonsensical, it seems to be highly subjective. I believe the political class "hate" the people of our nation, especially Brexiteers, so can I ask the Met Police to arrest the entire House of Commons? It's obviously ludicrous

    Anyone care to share their opinion?

    The MET seem to have amended their page ( https://www.met.police.uk/advice/adv...is-hate-crime/) following the criticism on Social Media earlier in the year. ( Unless there's another page?)

    Blog about this from someone sensible http://barristerblogger.com/2018/03/...what-it-means/

    I believe these are the Police & CPS agreed definitions;
