I split up with my husband a few month ago. Due to lies and his debt issues. I'm going to see a solicitor as no other option. He has got into a great deal of debt nothing to do with me all his name behind my back. I have closed joint account so I'm not connected with him financially at all. The problem is constant debt letters coming. I've had baliffs in the past too before he left. I'm living at the house he's living elsewhere we jointly own it outright. House is up for sale. I wish the house would sell quicker. He's giving no money to bills I'm literally broke. Solicitors cost money which I don't have. I'm worried baliffs come for his debt any advice as he's not living here.

Are you classed as 'vulnerable'?
Read the following -

When you get his debt letters, there is a return address on the back, just cross out the address at the front of the letter and post the letter back, you could write ' does not live here' on the front.
You may be entitled to some help with your legal fees, depending on your circumstances. I think you just need some control over things which you believe are out of control.
