Applicant can claim exemption from a MIAM if there is evidence of domestic violence. Is a non-mol for alleged domestic abuse (coercive and controlling behaviour) deemed to be the same as domestic violence?

Trying to help friend complete this form. Already contacted a couple of mediators who will only sign off the Form A if he attends a MIAM costing around £100 +vat. Seems to be quite a bit of conflict ing advice re thisComment

It's just that we understand he is exempt from attending a MIAM, so really need to know whether domestic violence and domestic abuse are classed as one and the sameComment

Think I will suggest to him to complete the Form A claiming the exemption, then take it from there. May need a little help from members to complete the Form as some of the questions are not very clearComment
