  • Ex Husband has stopped paying maintenance after 3 1/2 years.

My husband left in 2015 and since then has paid the mortgage plus maintenance. Earlier this year he instructed the court to issue the decree absolute before the finances had been settled. He still has not completed full disclosure on his Form E but has decided that he is going to stop paying the maintenance and only pay me sufficient money to cover the cost of the mortgage. I earn just over £1,200 per month and his total remuneration package is about six times that. What courses of action are open to me to get him to reinstate the maintenance.

      Spousal maintenance.

Only agreement was the one that we verbally negotiated at the time he left. He is threatening to take me to court for a financial remedy order to get part of the equity from the house. I am wondering what is my best course of action to try and get him to continue paying me the agreed maintenance until we agree or the court directs a financial settlement?
