Re: My daughter and grandson
Morning hun ... I believe you get the first 1/2 hour free with most solicitors now (and while it's not a lot, it gives you a chance to find out your legal standing). It sounds to me like you've not got a very understanding SW :tinysmile_hmm_t2: - she is meant to be there supporting your daughter (as the mother) not just pushing to get your grandson placed with MIL!!
You say that the police investigated (and found no solid evidence with which to accuse either your daughter or the father) ... could I suggest that this needs pointing out to the SW?? As the mother of a young child myself, I know how stressful it can be. But I also know that if anything ever happened to her I would want everyone (including myself) viewed with suspicion until a cause had been found.
If your grandchild went to the MIL, would the father be there?? Is your daughter now alone in the house they shared??
You say that he paid the rent, and now there are arrears ... did he just stop paying??
If your daughter is in real danger of losing her home then I'd suggest she had a chat with her local CAB and contacted Shelter (http://england.shelter.org.uk/?_ga=1...976.1411044881) too. They will help her to secure her housing situation (and SS should assist in this too).
