  • New care system plans

    Age UK

    New plans drawn up for the care system will see hundreds of thousands of older and disabled people who need help with basic tasks receive no financial assistance.

    The Care and Support Alliance (CSA) reports that even individuals who need help washing or dressing will not be given any financial support under the proposals: http://bit.ly/16tiy1V

    Care in Crisis is a campaign we have been running this year to highlight older people's struggles with the care system. To find out more information go to: http://bit.ly/1eqz2YA

    Re: New care system plans

    What is the line between moderate and substantial ? (simply put)

    Moderate = washing / dressing / brushing teeth

    Substantial = toilet ? bathing ? moving ? eating ?

    Is there a link somewhere to the report ''new analysis of London School of Economics (LSE) research by the CSA, which represents 75 leading organisations and charities including Age UK, reveals this comes at a heavy price.''and also the document containing the 'the small print of the plans ' ?

          You can find the whole thing here:

          http://www.publications.parliament.u...40053_en_1.htm

          I found that report near impossible to understand in places as it cross references too many other documents.
