  • House split up

Need some advice , I got with my ex partner in 1998 I had my sold my flat which was in my name only and purchased a house in 2003 together. I put in 125k for a property costing 196k we are in the middle of separating and selling the house . I did not get any agreement at the time about my 125k. She now wants to sell the house and get half the money. I am happy to give her half of the money left after the mortgage is paid minus my 125K the house is worth about 360k with a 110k mortgage ( we got extra money on the mortgage a couple of times) so give her 62k and I take 62k plus 125k . Do I have a legal leg to stand on . Need help

First and possibly most importantly, how did you hold the house? As joint tenants?

Get the info here if you're not sure how the house has been registered https://www.gov.uk/search-property-i...-land-registry
