Hello all
Been employed by the same company for the last 15 years, and as my role is national I have always run up work expenses. I've always been happy to pay for these on my personal credit card as the company would refund me on a weekly basis so I was never running up too high a credit amount.
Recently a new policy was implemented without consultation whereby expenses were only processed monthly. This means that I am now in debt around £2,000 each month. I only have credit cards for work expenses and emergency use, and this effectively now uses up all my credit amounts meaning I have no contingency left for personal emergencies. I am also facing the situation where I cannot perform my job as I've run out of credit on several occasions. I don't like credit cards having had a bad experience in the past and refuse to seek out more credit.
Requests to review my circumstances made to my immediate manager, and their manager have fallen on deaf ears.
Other than just leaving the company and working for someone who treats their employees better, do I have any legal recourse ?
