So the meeting was held this morning, and I do have a recording of it if I am allowed to send it to any of you to listen?

The notes from the meeting are attached, it is worth me telling you that the chair of the meeting towards the end (and it is on the recording) asked my OH to take certain points out because they only wanted a maximum of three main points.

      Thoughts and advice welcome please

      Thanks

Are you taking the piss!! The chair told your OH to remove certain points of her grievance? Thats no different to telling her what she can and can not make a grievance about. I hope she hasn't removed any points, and stood her ground?

        How long is the recording?

i shall pm you my email address so you can send a copy.

Also did they say when they would be sending you a copy of the minutes?

Received your PM and file on it's way. You will hear it for yourself. Even on the document it states that their legal advice tell them no more than 3 points!

The only notes that were made in that meeting by them were the writing on the plain unheaded paper, so as far as it goes now, those are the minutes! :tinysmile_aha_t:

Lol those are the minutes!!! Oh dear oh dear (shaking head in disbelief) - They haven't a clue have they.

As for their legal advice - BULLSHIT, no lawyer or solicitor in the whole country would give out such advice!! They are basically trying to limit what she can make a grievance about in order to limit any damage and prevent her making a claim on the most damaging points and if i remember correctly, there was terms in her contract that limited her to what she could make a grievance about, though said terms are invalid as you can not limit what an employee can make a grievance about, as they have a statutory right to raise a grievance and there's no limit to that right in regards to what they can make a grievance about! So their plan or intentions are not going to work, if anything its going to back fire spectacularly on them!

Well, it should be with us no later than July 31st.

I feel a bit more confident about it all after this meeting.

When you've listened to the recording, I'd be interested to hear your interpretation and thoughts.

RJH teaboy2 - On the 'minutes' it says their legal advice has been that a maximum of 3 sub-points be included against each grievance. Going on this alone it doesn't seem like the employer is trying to limit the number of points you may raise as a grievance.

Exactly my thoughts @matt3942 - Hence why i couldn't help but laugh in disbelief that they stated it in reference to legal advice they had been given. They even say the same in the recording too. Second half is more about sorting copies of documents out i think, from what i can make out via listening on my computers speakers. Currently listening to it as i type so not got to the end yet though.

Lol just got to the end, he tried getting her to drop point 6 and 7 when they support other points. How the hell can anyone not even see that. His reason was based on timescale as to when they happened from what i can make out. But timescale is irrelevant as they are all related and therefore everything is a continuation of the first event!

@RJH - Well done to your other half though, could tell she was nervous with voice cracking slightly, but she held it together so give her a pat on the back from us!

Apart from trying to restrict the points of the grievance, no not really, well not more than they already have done anyway. But they have still to produce the documents requested yet, so lets wait and see!
