Re: Altfest - festival not refunding money for cancelled festival (clubtickets.com)

since the 4th of august I have sent so many emails and messages to their social networks as they are still up and running but no sign of life on them. It does get you down that some companies can just leave you in the dark and its not just me its thousands who have gone through clubtickets are having the same problem as I am.

just looking at the charge back info you gave me, one section im looking at ( down below) does that mean from the date we bought the tickets or the refund is stated.

Within 120 days of purchase or expected service provision date

Well the service provision was the concert I'm guessing, so I'd say the time runs from when you were notified that the concert was cancelled, so 4th August.

I'd get your son to ring the bank firstly, they should, I think, have a chargeback form they can send out. But banks can be a bit narkey. It has been over 2 weeks since they said they would refund, I'm not sure whether they'd expect you to wait 30 days, but of course if they are going into liquidation (and I can't see any evidence of that but I haven't purchased the companies house information available) then you want to get your claim in asap.

If not this is a example template from Which? on chargeback - it's not the best letter in the world but it's a starting point.

            [Your address]

            [Debit/ Credit card company address]

            Dear [customer services manager's name],

Claim under Visa Chargeback Scheme rules –

I am writing to you in connection with the purchase of [insert details] on [date] from [details of seller]. I enclose the following documentation which provides details of the transaction:
[List documents e.g. invoices, receipts, details of estimated delivery dates that you are submitting with the Chargeback claim.]

I paid for [insert details] using my [insert supplier name] [debit] [credit] card.

The total cost of [insert details] was [£xx].

In breach of contract [insert details of the problem – see our guide to Chargeback for details of what can and can't be claimed using Chargeback].

The transaction for the purchase of [insert details] was less than 120 days ago and accordingly, I am writing to request a refund of the above amounts under the Chargeback Scheme rules.

I look forward to your prompt response.

            Yours sincerely,
            #staysafestayhome

Seems they may have gone into liquidation tho administrators should announce formally.

Informally theres a number of venues stating they have gone into liquidation, like club-rub

"Unfortunately, the company Clubtickets.com has been forced into liquidation over the last
few days. Their site was taken down on Friday. They were heavily invested in the
Alt.com Festival that was cancelled by the client (D-Void and Missy @
Antichrist) and subsequently, Clubtickets.com has gone under, I'm afraid.
