Getting back to the topic tho' - if there was cctv in the loos where I worked, I'd be tempted to get my pocket knife out (it's amazing what I can do with my multi-tool LOL)

I do think any complaint should not be restricted to the females in the workforce though. If there is CCTV in the gents then that area needs to be complained about equally. Particularly if there are urinals with the CCTV in that area.

But seriously, there are so many reasons why companys should not put cctv any-ware near private areas. because you can get control of zoom and pan/tilt remotly easly enough.
From statistics CC, zoom in a male toilet is sometimes a boon......msl:

Now how is the young lady on checkouts going to know if there is CCTV in the Gents?

Well presumably as you recommended putting in a group grievance there will be some male employee's at the workplace as well.

Well I only work on facts.
There has been no mention of male staff, and my post did read 'While we female employees, who work on the checkouts (and other places if appropriate) understand the need for Company CCTV surveillance, for security reasons.

But I concede to your point that there may indeed be male employees working at the store.....

It doesn't really matter what gender the employees are in this day and age, does it?

Particularly if they have mysterious "bodily functions" to perform outside of cubicles?

CCTV in the lavs is simply not on. :lever:

I know the feeling, we have two teenage Granddaughters stopping most weekends, and sometimes three or four of the others too.
Bog rolls in our house are simply disappearing faster than a Scotsman on a 'Flag day'.
My two daughters always seem to take a couple of rolls home with them every time they visit.
So my wife has to buy the big 'Nicky' packs every week.

Re: CCTV Extremism in the workplace

I have had cctv at home since about 2001. I would never have them in the house, but had all the exits covered. its been usfull ovwer the years.. would not want to live in a house without it

And trustee me, you would not want to watch cctv from a mensroom, just trust me,, nooo

                                Back to the thread issue.

Have just had a proper poke about cctvs for an hour or so, had a look as some new hacks....... I can not belive how many company's occidentally broadcast there cctv still..

And, on the more stoker side..

easy to record mulitpul cams remotely, and can assess some of the large retailers internal cams from the car parks of there store with the correct arial ( home made ). So company's really need to consider is there systems secure properly before plugging in CCTV systems. And CCTV is one of the hardest thigs to secure becuse of the bandwidth.
crazy council ( as in local council,NELC ) as a member of the public, i don't get mad, i get even
