Over what period of time are you meant to have nicked £10 grand?

yea exactly. no i was just a part time weekend assistant, after uni i started working there full time. The police said from 2007 when i started until 2013 the officer said had evidence, when asked to produce the evidence, he produced something else. a video footage of a lottery ticket that was near my till until i gained permit ion too take it to a staff member who had previously requested to purchase it, and then did so! i'm still baffled as to what that was about. i know their is no evidance because I've never even felt tempted to take any of the product we sell. its a little "sweet shop" basically...

no, i don't know that. but the till failed like with in hours of a so call engineer coming out to sort out the system. it was so bad at times if management was online in the back office our tills went into buffer mode for ages. some times id get it to work by restarting it altogether wile the poor customers qued and cussed me out for holding them up. id be scanning stuff one minute the list of items were right in front of me then next nothing1 it was difficult cause i mostly worked alone. or with a team leader who covered three units by her self.

Re: Dismissed for gross misconduct please help

Sorry about not responding in order, police interview was in August, haven't heard from them since.

Was a total shock to me. I had no idea at all never knew we suffered such a huge amount of stock loss. But the police man said stock losses from 2007' the year I started to date!
Manager making the accusation has been with us at my store for one year,

i was to have re training on the till. In fact it was never really defined.

No no not at all. Also I ask for permission for any and every little thing as I've been bullied and continued to have difficulty a with the current manager

Re: Dismissed for gross misconduct please help

Somethings not adding up here,,,they can't seriously accuse someone of nicking 10k worth of stock over 7 years and expect to be taken seriously........I'll leave it to the other Beagles to try and make sense of it all........my opinion counts for nothing.

                      Good Luck

Iam no retail expert but would 10k of breakages and genuine loss mistakes damaged goods etc over 7 years be a norm and allowable under accountantcy rules?

If not there must be bad managers there who did not notice this less?

lol thanks for your opinion, its true but this was and has only been mentioned by the police. there is no mention what so ever in the Diss hearing accusations. but when i found out i can tell you now it was a struggle to make it home total vexation is an understatement

Just to clarify......when I said my opinion counts for nothing I wasn't referring to LB,,I meant that my opinion would be of no help to OP solely because it's MY opinion ,,I can't advise OP cos I don't know the way forward for her so is best to sit back and let the good folk who DO know post and learn from that
