        Chaps,

Excuse my ignorance but what has his status as the DPS (or not) got to do with the dismissal issue in this matter?

Apparently straight-forward to me: contractual provisions apply in relation to notice pay and then the wrongful dismissal claim should be pursued as well. I'm not sure if there is anything else. Talk to ACAS or go online regarding the letter that you need to write to your former employers.

Just all encompassing help Ashley The two issues are separate but maxinep does need to ensure the licencing bit sorted if she has left the establishment so cannot be held responsible for any subsequent breaches.

            Re: Employment problem

Well said AME if she was The Manager it would normally be her named as DPS so if she was she needs to revoke it if she wasn't maybe it was a con the 2 are linked the pub cannot open without a DPS.
IMHO if she pursues the money they may well make up some accusations easily done and probably fairly easy to prove.

Guys, that sounds eminently sensible. Well done with that advice in that case.

Did you become the DPS if you did you would had to sign a form and provide your personal licence details,
There is no legal need to put anyones name over the door now

                          Hi

Thought I would update you, yes I signed the form to be the DPS and gave my personal licence number I have informed the issuing council about this they now know that I am not working at that pub and are concerned who is the DPS and may pay a visit. The form I signed was to go to a solicitor, I have a copy of this with a phone number so on Monday I shall be calling them to advise them not to use my licence.
In regards to my pay, I received the money they owed me but its wrong, i worked for them for 2 weeks which equals 14 days and I was on a set weekly salary they are now saying that out of those 14 days I worked 8 so I only get 8 days pay!! But I worked 50 hours in each of those weeks.
\im so angry that people think that they can just get away with this, my contract says 2 weeks notice. What should I do I am a member of Unison
