    Can I be made redundant during mediation?

    Hi I just fond out that my post was deleted by my manager without any consultation. I have been a permanent employee since 2014 and am currently on a rotation / secondment to a different team in the same organisation.

    My rotation finishes in October which is when to find another role in house or be made redundant.

    I am planning to go to ACAS for mediation to try to reach a settlement agreement - which should reflect unfair or constructive dismissal.

    If mediation and going to tribunal take a some time can my employer still make me redundant without this being settled?

    I need to understand the process of events.

    When did you find out that your position in your "original" team is no longer required and do you know the reason for that?
    Where you anticipating returing to your original team when your secondment was over? if so was this confirmed to you in writing?
