Notice period pay when moving to lower paid role in same company.

My role is being made redundant and I have been offered a lower paid role at same company.

The role being made redundant has a 3 month notice period but my employers have said I will start the new role immediately. Am I entitled to my current higher salary for the duration of my notice period before I move to the lower salary of the new role?

Unfortunately not you will move to the new salary as soon as you commence the new role. However has this position been offered to you as a suitable alernative role for which you have a trial period?

Thanks for such a quick response. Yes, the role has been offered with a 4 week trial period.

Ok great thank you for coming back to confirm this.

If for you do decide is is not a reasonable alternative position and reduction in salary would be considered an acceptable reason why is not suitable, then before the 4 weeks ends you need to notify your employer as such and your redundancy terms would still be avaialable to you.

Just wanted to make you aware of this.
