    Restructure nhs department

    Hi,


    Consultation period over. Restructure will be reducing band 6 from 23 FTE to 11 FTE, and increasing band 5 posts from 2 FTE to 23 FTE. The nurses not selected for band 6 roles will be put into the band 5 jobs. Will get the result of the selection process middle of November and will put into band 5 jobs beginning of December. Only gives me two weeks to find another band 6 job. Is some pay protection depending on length of employment. Told we are not at risk of redundancy as we will be given band 5 jobs. Massive implications for me in career aspirations, pay, hours, status. Any other options?

    Have they given any indication on what effect it will have on your pay, hours and status if you are changed to a band 5.

      Yes. 19% drop. Protected for two years., hours now cover weekend and out of hours, and new job requires supervision whereas band 6 freedom to act autonomously. X
