[QUOTE=mariefab;n1419454]I think that this could be a very good sign.

    Hi All,

    Update for you.

Met with HR and was informed that I could return to work on Monday. They went on to state that the allegations were "not proven" and that all those individuals that were suspended would be returning to work. Now, on the one hand it's a huge relief that I will be returning to work, however, I'm disappointed that the true culprit has not been identified and I stated as much.

I also asked as per MARIFAB'S comments what they planned to do to protect me from such allegations in the future, their reply was that CCTV would now be installed in the office. They also went on to say that "they knew it wasn't me" and apologised that I had to go through the process......

Furthermore, anything relating to this investigation will be roved from my Personnel file. They assured me that I need not worry about returning to work as my colleagues had been informed that I was absent due to illness. I'm sure some of my colleagues will be able to put two and two together if three employees all return at the same time have been absent for the same duration.

As I said, it's a huge relief to be returning to work, It could have been a lot worse.

I would also like to thank everyone on this forum and in particular MARIFAB for all their assistance and advice over the last month. At times I thought I was going to explode with frustration and this forum was my only outlet for this frustration.

Thank you all again, I really appreciate it.

Well done & congratulations, it's going to be a little strange on your return i'm sure, but hopefully you can put it behind you, I'm not sure I can offer any advice on how to ensure it doesn't happen again, but you will only as in the case only know after the event.
Sorry i'm just thinking out loud, it might be irrelevant, I am not employed in anyway in the legal profession, please ensure you research any advice I give before using it I have been known to be wrong on multiple occasions.

I'm really pleased for you. This is the best possible outcome.

Do try not to think badly of your employer about this matter. Your innocent presence in the office at the relevant time meant that they had no choice but to include you in the investigation even though they never believed that you were responsible.
They did everything right here. In fact they've shown themselves to be better than other employers who faced with a not proven situation have lawfully fired everyone. It's possible that the reason that they decided against that route was because they felt that it would be unfair to you.
