I am not aware of any legal obligation to inform you. However I would suggest that the agency, if they had been made aware by the recruiting company that they have a dog in the office, should just let prospective candidates know in advance for the very reason of allergies etc.If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

Good point Kati. In my previous company we had a guide dog and I did tell candidates when I interviewed them of the situation just in case there was any issues with allergies or otherwise and I do where I currently work as my dog comes to the office. If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

Honestly, I doubt that any employers will be so loyal that they will allow employees to bring animals to the workplace (except for a dog). I recently encountered such a problem myself. The fact is that my friends gave me a gecko and I started taking care of it. I read a lot of information about the care of geckos and*crested gecko tank*on the site but the problem was that I could not leave him alone because he had something like a fear of loneliness. Only ... after receiving the document from the veterinarian, I was able to convince my boss and he allowed me to bring the gecko in the terrarium to work. So this is a very sensitive issue!Last edited by DrAlvarez; 5th May 2020, 10:26:AM.
