Hello,
I need some help!
I’ve just recieved a letter from NBCS (National Business Crime Solutions) on behalf of Frasers Group.
On the 18th February I placed a large order with Flannels Fashion for a large number of designer goods. This was at a total cost to myself of £4451.19.
After trying on several items at my home, I decided that the items I had ordered were not my style and in some cases did not fit and therefore arranged a return which I paid for via the Flannels returns portal.
I packaged all of the items up using their original packaging, printed the return label and proceeded to drop the return parcel off at my local Royal Mail parcel lockers. The parcel was successfully placed into the lockers and securely stored and as a result I received a confirmation email (which acts as my proof of postage).
After a few days, my parcel arrived back at the Flannels warehouse and I received an email to confirm ALL of my the items I had returned had been received by the warehouse team. However, after a day or so I then received an email confirming that I would be refunded for all but one of the items I had returned (a pair of Grey Denim Jeans), despite returning the whole I order.
Following this issue being identified, I waited for a period of time to allow for the warehouse to fully process my order, in case there had been a mistake or delay in the returns process. However, when I still didn’t receive my refund for the jeans I had returned, I contacted Flannels CS Team.
Prior to this event I had only recently been designated a ‘VIP Customer’, due the large amount of money I had spent with the retailer and I was assured that if I had any issues I would have access to ‘senior customer service agents’ who’d be on hand to help. However despite this, the Flannels CS team proceeded to rubbish my claims and provide no real help at all, all while taking several days to reply to each of my emails.
Following a successful dispute with via my credit car provider, I recieved the refund in full and assumed the matter was closed. That was until today when I received the letter today from NBCS threatening legal and criminal proceedings.
I understand from reading other similar threads that it’s like just a scare mongering tactic in the hope they scare me enough to pay up. I’ll be honest I was at first a little worried, especially considering I’m currently in the process of applying for a mortgage. However, the more I think about it, the more angry I get about how they are treating people.
So I’m hoping some of you lovely people might be able to give me a bit of advice?
I‘m happy to share a redacted copy of the letter I received to my post so you can review it.
Thanks so much in advance.
Liam
