  • LBA Restons for hsbc

Hi, I got my tenant to open a letter for me only to find it was actually for my wife whom I haven’t seen since we split last year.
I am currently travelling and use my rental as my correspondence address in the uk.
The letter is from Restons and I think must be about an old hsbc business account my wife had.
I know my tenant shouldn’t have opened it but I’ve never had any mail addressed to my wife at that address before.
I’m not sure how I should deal with it as I don’t have a forwarding address for my her.
I’m puzzled how they got the address of my rental.
    Any pointers gratefully appreciated

I would just ask your tenant to tape it up, cross out the address, then write, 'doesn't live

here', wrong address etc or what ever the case maybe. It's not your account, she doesn't live there, those

are the facts. Nothing to do with you. There maybe more post in the future, just do the same.

Inform the Royal Mail of the same.
