  • Parking fine - CSB Solicitors notice!

    Hello all,

Looking for some guidance as to appropriate next steps.

    Background:
went for a late night kebab in Queensway and parked on a side road, was there 30mins or so and left. Couple of days later I get a parking notice for failure to pay for parking from QCP - QUEENSWAY CAR PARK! Completely suprised as i did not see any signs for car parking nor was there any lighting to highlight the fact it was a paid car parking area (no barriers, no visible signs). I duly ignored the initial notice and subsequent follow up.

yesterday I received a notice from CSB Solicitors demanding payment of £170(!!!!!) Within 14 days to avoid legal action. Utterly ridiculous. I have attached the notice with personal info removed..in the letter there is a comment about either paying the balance or sending my written proposal.

Through reading various threads i have noticed that contacting should be avoided as this is "a private invoice"

As this is from a solicitors, please please can I get some guidance for appropriate next steps..

Thank you for reading, and greatly appreciate any assistance.

    Regards,
    Johnbob
