And I did call them when I received the first letter because obviously I was panic stricken (constant state of being at the moment) - to set up a plan to pay it back but that was before I found LB and all of the other threads associated with DWF. Is this going to affect anything?

No, but it's the first time you told us that you called them. Though wonder they are phoning you. Just keep the thread updated. Carry on with your life, do the stuff you enjoy, read, grow vegetables etc. Oh nearly forgot drink tea.

The real difference contacting them makes, is that they think they have hooked a fish, and will redouble their efforts to relieve you of your money

They are past masters at pressurising people, so you might find it stressful.
