Letter Before Action advice.

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could clarify this for me:

I received a LBA back in February 2021. It was from Mortimer Clarke solicitors re an overdraft debt. I disputed the claim and did not hear back from them.

My question is if MC decided, a year later, to take legal action do they need to issue another LBA? For how long is an LBA valid?

The claimant should send the letter before claim in good time so as to enable a response which can then be taken into account before the time limit for issuing the claim expires, unless there are good reasons why this is not possible
