  • ex girlfriend trying to sue me for her phone bills (please help!) BULLYING Tactics?

    Hi,
So my girlfriend kindly a few years ago when we were together taken a couple of Phone contracts/ipad agreements out in her name. I had been paying the bills via the website for a couple of years. Without going into too much detail i later found she had cheated on me and we had split up I carried on making the payments as usual until one day was unable to afford it she agreed verbally on the phone she would finish the payments for me. I had heard nothing since until this morning i've got this letter from a solicitors her mother is a legal admin at. Can you guys take a look and let me know if this has any grounds to it or shes just trying to scare me?*

It says two was taken out without her agreement or authority yet these we're years ago shes had letters from o2 about these accounts and never raised a query about it until this letter.*
One on the basis that i would indemnify her against liability of the agreement (this hasn't been discussed or no contract has been drawn up)
*If its all above board ill look to settle this out of court but i think from a legal perspective she's liable? The contracts are in her name and letter heads to her address so in court would it be her word against mine?

    attached docs.
    Thank you!

You could remind them that if this is to be taken as a letter before claim then they have to give at least 30 days notice AND include a lot of paperwork.
