  • Lost a case but told it wasnt proceeding

I was the a defendant and counter claimant and a hearing date was set. The original claimant didn't pay the hearing. I received a letter saying the claimants case was struck out. I double checked with the court to confirm, definitely struck out.
I have now received a judgement against me for 7K payable in 21 days as the hearing went ahead and I offered no defence.
I checked with the court and no hearing fee was paid and they have the strike out letter on file.
Any idea how to appeal it and quickly?

Hiya I am the girlfriend from this post. It is aload of rubbish yes we had a council tax bill that we didn’t pay and bailiffs came to our door but my boyfriend did not kill himself over this! They bailiffs were very understanding and let us set a payment plan any debt you get u receive a number that u can ring to sort payment plans with that you can afford which I buried my head under the sand as I didn’t want to contact them but once you do they are very understanding. The Balif that came round was doing his job wanting the money but if u reason with them they are very understandable and work with you. Hope this helps
