Re: Cabot Financial harass my 11 year old granddaughter

Have just had a look on Cabot's website (think it's been revamped) and thought I'd share the following from the Q&A section with you good people:

'How do I thank an employee who has been particularly helpful to me?'

    Any (printable) suggestions, anyone?

Good grief, cant believe that Cabot are still using 'Unfair Business' tactics!?

Thought the Cabot Fan Club stamped that out years ago.

      Report them to the OFT.

One might express the hope that they will soon be feeling better.

Re: Cabot Financial harass my 11 year old granddaughter

            An update.

Cabot ceased calling my 11 year old granddaughter on the 4th of July, the last call being on the 3rd July at 15.31pm. We thought perhaps they had taken notice of the Cease and Desist letter of the 4th June. NO!!! The calls started again on the 10th July at 18.36pm. Since that time there have been calls each day with the exception of Sundays.

To be clear to everyone. All of the calls are blocked and the application records the time of the call. So there is no distress to my granddaughter, (though I doubt Cabot would phase her at all!) and all calls are being logged.

Lets see how much longer they sustain this onslaught. Andrew Hughes their Head of Collections Strategy must be very proud of what he does! Here is his profile on LinkedIn...you will see he previously did the same for Barclaycard. http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/andrew-hughes/a/742/762

              Indeed.

And between June 2003 and April 2005, he ensured that HBOS had lent some £2.5 billion in unsecured, (sub-prime?) loans.

The whole thing is just unbelievable. How are they being allowed to get away with intimidating people like this? At my worst, I was seriously considering taking an overdose and if it hadn't been for sites like this I'm pretty sure that I would have taken that route as I felt so alone, ashamed and too scared to tell anybody about the mess I found myself in.

When you sent the Cease and Desist Notice, did you warn Cabot that an injunction would be sought if they continued with their harassment? If not, a formal letter may need to be draft putting it to them very bluntly what will happen if they persist.

I am not sure whether the expression bloodyminded covers their willingness to cause distress to so many.

As an update Cabot are continuing with their calls the last one being received at 10:46am today 22nd August 2013. Each day there is at least one call, more often two and yesterday there were three calls at 12:26pm, 18:09pm and finally just before the 9:00pm deadline at 20:58. I should mention that every call made to my granddaughter's mobile is matched by a call to my landline. So yesterday 6 calls in one day.

All calls are blocked and no call has been answered other than the initial call when my granddaughter explained to them she was an 11 year old girl. The number of calls runs into 100's but they can't seem to work out that they are not being answered.

I greatly appreciate everyone's advice and help and I WILL be taking action but no harm is being done as calls are blocked but recorded.

How long will it go on for I wonder?

How long is a piece of string?

Why do they seem to think that you owe them money?

You have a very strong case for PFH. Please feel free to contact me, I would take GREAT pleasure in dealing with this matter
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
