  • Cabot unbelievable claptrap

    Hi all
Had a bit of financial shortfall so wrote to crapbot telling them I would be paying them less than our mutual agreement
They surprised me by not sending threats (unlike Lowel) so I paid them the lower payment twice
I then wrote saying I could now afford to resume my payments as before
That opened a dialogue of continuing letters threatening to default me again pay up or else all of which I ignored
This morning the lovely postie brought me a letter saying they have cancelled my agreement and I must get in touch to discuss
    settling my balance .
Are they really that stupid or am I missing something how can they cancel a agreement that does not exist and default

    Hi Winner12,

I think its time for you to p*ss on Crapbot's bonfire and report them to the OFT Credit Fitness Team. I'm attaching a document that takes you through the process of complaining to OFT Credit Fitness Team. Although it is to do with complaints against bailiff companies, the process is, effectively, the same as for DCAs.

You will need to quote the following details in your complaint -

    Company Name: Cabot Financial
    Credit Licence No.: 441205

I am also attaching the OFT Debt Collection Guidelines. You can use these to play "Spot the Breaches" and you should list all and any breaches in your complaint.
