Hey can anybody advise, my boyfriend has just had a call of cabots finance, he has told them i dont live here, which i dont, they asked if it was my address and gave the street name which it isnt. he also asked how they had got hi number and they wouldnt reply. They also spoke to me the other day and I refused to answer any of there questions as they would not answer mine. Was I correct in doing this. They also said they spoke to me in december which I cant remember.

As and when they can be bothered to WRITE to you, you are perfectly within your rights not to talk to them on the phone.
If they call again, you need to make them aware of that fact and then sit back and wait..

          Re: cabots

They wouldn't have called without writing to you first. If you had spoken to them in December you would have confirmed your date of birth and name either on the phone or by letter, even if you hung up straight after doing so, they would have classed it as contact

            Re: cabots

Sorry bex but they do call before writing to debtors, all DCA's do it - Also just because Crapbot's phone jockeys claimed they spoke to her in december, it doesn't actually mean its true. We all know the lies they say just to mislead people and as you have only made 2 posts i suspect your a crapbot employee yourself given the way your sticking up for them!

                  Hi

I got a strange phone call today, from a computerised voice, it said that they had lost my address and they needed it so they could deliver a catalogue i had ordered.

Gave them the address of the RSPCA, wonder who it was.
