    Cabot

    If Cabot Financial instruct Mortimer Clark to close a case against someone and they are informed about it, can Cabot get it re-opened a few months later? Thank you

    I think a few more details are needed. Remember MC are Cabot .

    Did they issue a claim then discontinue or send a Letter of Claim and then not go any further?

      They got a CCj whilst I had a complaint in about harassment, whilst I was dealing with the aftermath of a house fire and breached a number of FCA regulations in the process. Never proceeded further but continued to harass me over it for 4 years. Then May 2023 MC wrote to me to say Cabot had instructed them to close the case and then July 2023 decided to reopen it and go for a charging order on the house

        Do you have a copy of the letter saying the case was closed?
        If not I would DSAR Cabot urgently

        I would also think about taking legal advice - maybe pt2537
