  • Mortimer Clarke solicitors

    hi

I’m looking for some advice, Mortimer started to contact me last October on behalf of Cabot financial , however I ignored them . They have sent a letter saying that a ccj has been obtained against me and that they are sending a agent from resolvecall to visit my home to discuss my account . I did a credit check and Cabot comes up in 2013 but ccj is listed . Could this because it’s been 6 years it’s not showing up on there ? And what do reply to these solicitors?

    Aby advice gratfully recived

    thank you

I would double check that letter. Post it up, redacted, if you can.

First off, if you had a CCJ and they were going to enforce it, Resolvecall wouldn't be the ones knocking at your door. If they were to enforce it, they'd have to make an application to the court to do it.

Second, if the account is still showing on your credit file, I would assume that you would still also have a CCJ on your file (but again, as I've learned today, that depends on whether it's enforced or not).

If you can post up what you've got people will be in a better position to help.
