  • Help with civil action against met.police and council

I am looking for advice on taking civil action against the metropolitan police and southwark council after my private hire vehicle was taken during a roadside stop that involved the and Newlyns bailiffs. (Returned after 4 1/2 months I did not pay for its return)
I have made a complaint to the met. In their letter to me they admitted errors in procedure.
I also made a complaint to met. Profeessional standards.
Outcome of which was complaints procedures were not followed.
I have also made complaints to southwark council.
Which were farcical to say least.
So what I'm looking for is someone to help me put all the research (. i.e. Freedom of information requests, emails etc.)I have done in the right way when filing my civil action.

So what your saying is the Vehicle was unlawfully seized on the grounds it was your work vehicle and the police helped in the unlawful seizure?

Where did the council come in to all this or was it for monies the council claimed you owed (such as council tax) and taken you to court for enforcement (i.e. seizure of goods)?
Please note that this advice is given informally, without liability and without prejudice. Always seek the advice of an insured qualified professional. All my legal and nonlegal knowledge comes from either here (LB),my own personal research and experience and/or as the result of necessity as an Employer and Businessman.

If you PM me, make sure to include a link to your thread as I don't give out advice in private. All PMs that are sent in missuse (including but not limited to phishing, spam) of the PM application and/or PMs that are threatening or abusive will be reported to the Site Team and if necessary to the police and/or relevant Authority.

      Hi teaboy
i had two parking tickets and was stopped at roadside stop in Thornton Heath london
I refused to speak to bailiff .
police had taken car key when first stopped.
When I informed the police that I going to use spare to driver off
the police and bailiffs stopped from doing so.
      bailiff were employed by council.
if you would like to know more you can check out my earlier post started March 2014.
it has taken this long for met. Police to complete the two complaints that I made.
first complaint has been referred back to local station involved.
