Hi all
Does anyone know where we would send an N208 form part 8?
Sis in law died intestate in Feb 23 and probate was granted Nov 23. The administrator who is also a beneficiary has paid my partner £27k and said she was keeping the rest of the estate money for the deceased sisters upkeep of horse (now put in Sis in Law (Administrator of Estate and also a beneficiary). There were 5 in total beneficiaries (her included) but she would not answer our questions on the estate accounts. We wrote to her formally requesting she send these over so we could see for ourselves as the figure did not seem right when her home had just sold for over £200k. The other beneficiaries have decided to just leave it alone as they don't want the fall out but we are not prepared to do this so took some free legal advice.
We got the letters of administration which shows the gross was £411,065.00 and the net was £335,403.00. To my working out that is £67,080.60 for an equal fifth share. I know she only originally gave all the beneficiaries £10,000 each but when my other half wrote asking for full inventory of accounts she then sent him a further £17,000 to basically try and shut him up. So in total out of the estate she has paid £57,000 out of the estate and has kept the rest of the money herself for the "upkeep of the horse". I am not sure that any horse is going to need £278,403 at the age of 15 to last its days out unless its having gold hay!
I have looked online but it is not very clear where to send the completed form to and what the fee is. Does anyone know this information please?
