  • Urgent - Civil action - Fx trader

    Hi

A friend is currently threathening with Civil action . A year ago i was involved with a trader, who was doing well. I mentioned this to a couple friends and they wanted me to invest some money on their behalf..

The trader has since lost the funds and now one of the friend is holding me responsible for the loss of funds. I dont have a contract with him. I just mentioned the terms the trader had with me to him. He now feel this was a contract with him and the loss would be a max of 30%, so they are holding me responsible for 70%.

He's now saying that i shouldnt have been handling funds for someone else and im responsible for paying him . He are currently treathening with both a police case, FCA and civil case. Would they have a case?

    Regards
    Markus
