Hi, i am completely new to this forum but would much appreciate any advice anyone can give to me!
Firstly a quick brief background of the situation.. I am full time carer to my Wife who is under regular Psychiatrist & GP for severe long term mental health struggles - Chronic anxiety & depression.. I had to take over full responsibility for all her bills & finances about 3 months ago now since she became too ill & vulnerable (had another breakdown).
This morning i received through the post a brown envelope with the address P.O. Box 300, NORTHAMPTON, NN1 2TX.. printed on the back & on the front POSTAGE PAID NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE 142. It is addressed to my Wife & inside the following

Particulars of Claim
1) The Defendant entered into a Consumer Credit Act 1974 regulated agreement with Capital One under account reference **************** ('the Agreement').
2) The Defendant failed to maintain the required payments and a default notice was serves and not complied with.
3) The Agreement was later assigned to the Claimant on 12/03/2015 and notice given to the Defendant .
4) Despite repeated requests for payment, the sum of ***** remains due & outstanding.
And the claimant claims
a) The said sum of £*******
b) Interest pursuant to s69 County Courts ACT 1984 at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of assignment to the date of issue, accruing at a daily rate of £0.066, but limited to one year, being £24.23
c)Costs

My Wife deny's remembering anything about this but she is on strong medications & vulnerable so i will probably never know for sure. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
