  • Lowell Portfolio/BW Legal CCJ v mc78. Can I still fight and dispute?

Hi everyone, I'm new here and glad to have found this forum.

I received a CC from Lowell Portfolio 1 LTD / BW Legal about a phone contract with 3 network defaulted in 2012, as checked on Noodle.

At the time I ended up stopping paying my monthly bill due to what I thought was an unfair charge in relation to an automated virtual voicemail service which generated voice traffic while abroad. I wanted to pay almost half but 3 didn't agree and so I just ignored them from that moment ongoing . Since, 1 or 2 other agencies bought 3's debt and tried to chase me, but as I relocated 4-5 times until nowadays I barely received their correspondence.

That initial debt of almost £200 has now become over £500(I changed slightly the figures, in case they might read here).

Don't know if of some use, but the flat where I live now is my partner's property, I'm registered as cohabitant to the council but not paying any rent as it's my partner's flat under mortgage, I'm not registered at the electoral roll (I'm European), we have a baby but not married nor in civil partnership, legally at least I guess. Basically I got nothing under my name, other than a basic bank account since 2010.

When I tried to sort the thing online on moneyclaim, last Friday, I couldn't access the claim due to wrong Claim No. and/or password. So I called the Northampton C.C.B. Centre and they said that there were still no Judgments on my file yet, taking into account the Issue Date of 04 of January, I was lucky. They told me I could send the Acknowledgement of service by email during the weekend and that on Monday they could have proceed with its registration or whatever means.
Well, unfortunately I couldn't do anything before tonight and just checked again on moneyclaim online and magically have seen appeared the claim, I clicked it and saw that on the 29th of January it was now become a CCJ.

It seems there is an option to set aside, and others to admit to pay.
I read some info on this forum but got not much time and knowledge and always busy looking after my baby (that's my current job, being a parent sitter at home while seeking for a part-time job that hopefully will arrive soon..)

I wanted and possibly still would like to dispute and defend my position, as I think that Lowell/BW Legal won't have the full documents from 3 network and ALL the documentation needed to claim the debt, but now?
For your information, in the Claim Forms my first name is misspelled with an omitted letter, can this be an advantage for me? And I read somewhere on the forum that you might have until 33 days from the Issue Date to defend yourself and doing something, is this correct? If so, the online date calculator says until 06 of February...

I never contacted nor responded to BW Legal and to the previous agencies, if that might be useful to know.

Taking into account the facts and info of my situation, can someone give me any guidance/recommendations/advise in order to grasp and decide which is my best and less costly option (if any options at all hopefully ).

Any help is really greatly appreciated. Thanks.
