Question now is How to make any offer to pay given my meagre income and should I contact them directly and make them aware of my financial situation?

Sorry to be a pain and thanks in advance Brian

        Hi Brisad

Did Vanquis ever send you a default notice, was it mentioned in the claim form.

To be honest , just because they have sent the agreement doesn't mean all is lost

As Nem said, what have they actually sent you?

                        Hello Brian,

Just read all the all the T's & C's which seem to be correct all sections present.
Can you find any fault with information on the application form?

Has their been any change of address since the application was made?

As far as I can see it is all correct apart from the alleged phone call I cant honestly fault it

I am wondering why they sent the letter offering a payment plan they may have sent the papers to court but the date is set for 31st may
will they have had to pay the court at this point?

I really do appreciate your help Nem and Kati and thank you very much take a cyber hug each

I was just wondering something about "money"

If Vanquis sells the debt for pennies in the pound surely they must write off the balance of the debt if that is the case nowe lowells have the account how can they ask for the full amount?

How many times can money be accrued in interest? costs I understand but even if I make a payment or go to court how come a sub £3000 debt attract so much interest?

What happens if Lowells decide not to pursue me (hypothetically) woild they get a full tax write off for the full amount?

                              Hello Brian,

I've looked over the agreement again and again and it looks fine (unfortunately) they would probably paid fees for this claim among a raft of others all electronically.
The " discount offer " letter (s) are basic templates revised and sent at set periods during the collection process.
I take it you have not changed address during the life of the agreement?

Have you done an exhaustive income and expenditure statement yet? T'would a good a idea to do one now.

                                Hi

Thanks very much for all your effort and hard work I will contact them on monday as I have decided to go with either stepchange or apply for a DRO

I only hope that the bad news I got from Lowells solicitors will be of use to others in the future as it seems they have sewn everything up well now.

                                xx
