        As a complete novice in anything regarding legal matters the link you sent me, if im honest went right over my head. what's the purpose of sending a rule 22.2 note.

            Did you survive 28th Jan OK?

            I was in before the Aberdeen Sheriff Principal yesterday on another issue. I live here too.

            I'm not familiar with defending claims. I'd be happy to try and help if it's not too late though.

            In my experience, the Sheriff Clerk has been very helpful in providing the right forms and telling me when I've completed them incorrectly. It has often involved a few trips to court but eventually I get them filled in satisfactorily.

                Thanks Rico.

                Rico yes went to the options hearing & the Sheriff awarded for me Decree absolvitor, so a very pleasant outcome. I think they have untill tomorrow, Thursday 11th if they are planing to appeal. Hopefully they do not.

                Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

                Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

                If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
