      Only if you lose!!

The " offer " that Carter has made is a nonsense it's far to high,
      unreasonable and unsustainable I suspect?

Even if this goes forward, there is the opportunity for " mediation" that could
bring about a settlement at far less a monthly payment and without a CCJ.
We can go in to that if and when needed.

Carters 14 days is meaningless once the service of claim is acknowledged and
your intention to defend is entered.

Thank you all for your help. The agreement is by no means sustainable but they said by law that is all they can offer and they do not need to offer this, so really doing me a favour.
I have requested some more time to sort out my defence, I have prepared the letters to Lowell and Carter, I will post them tomorrow and request proof of delivery.
Thank you again. I will get back to you wham I receive replays from them.

Who the hell said that it absolutely ridiculous, Carter and the morons he employs wouldn't
know a law if it smacked them in the face!! Doing himself a favour I think as Lowell has its
own firm of solicitors now, so perhaps he's attempting to make a few quick bucks!
          PS don't stress over this!!

We can/will help you through this .

Re: HELP, received CCJ forms from Brian Carter today

This is what the Bryan Carter employee told me and also a senior staff member when I asked to speak to a manager... in fact they said " the CC only give you 14 days to make payment, we are in fact giving you 12 times more time to pay and this is all we are legaly able to do"
I also rung Lowell in the hopes of speaking to someone about this as Carters stated they were acting on their behalf....Lowell told me they can not stop the CC claim as Carters are responsible for it not them and they do not instruct Carters....Carters state that they work on instructions from Lowell and can not stop the CC claim without instructions from Lowell.
I have not agreed to anything in writing , no email etc....I told them that it would cause considerable hardship trying to pay £336 each month but they said it was either that or a CCJ. I get the distinct impression Carters are liars.
