Once the defence has been passed to the claimant it has 28 days to respond to it, if the
defendant fails to respond the court will stay the claim, you will Not be informed of this,
so you will need to check the status of the claim with the court office.

Hi! I had a letter from the court, dated 1 Dec, acknowledging receipt of my defence. They will serve a copy on the claimant. The claimant may attempt to resolve the dispute with me. If the dispute cannot be resolved the claimant will inform the court if he wishes to proceed. If the claimant wants to proceed he must contact the court within 28 days of receiving the defence. After that period it will be stayed. The claimant can then apply for an order to lifting the stay.

As yet I have not heard anything from anyone! Bryan Carter has not sent me copies of the agreements etc. I don't know what effect the Xmas period will have on the timescales. So I just have everything crossed at this point!

There's still time for Carter to respond, he does take matters " to the wire".

I have not heard a thing regarding this. Can I breathe a sigh of relief yet or could it still come back and bite me? I've checked MCOL and the last activity in there is my defence.
