Really Hope some of you can help me with this...
I moved house early this year & I just picked up mail from my old house as I work away from home for the vast majority of the year. Amongst all the junk mail was a ton of letters from Cabot Financial, on behalf of Vanquis Bank, saying that I owed £450 from a credit card, last paid in Feb 2010. The first of the letters was dated June 2015.
The letters then moved onto Mortimer Clark Solicitors saying pay up or we will issue a CCJ to recover the money. Then came the claim form from the County Court Business Centre saying to pay nearly £550 now with fees included. This claim form was issued 01 Oct 2015. All of the time frames included on the letter say to respond within 14 days which has now passed as I have only just received the letters!
What options do I have given that I've just got the letters & the time frame to respond has gone?
