    Can any one advise me on writing a closing statement for a trial, such format, content , how to quote case law e.t.c.

                      Let me Guess on this which is a first

                      You are claiming malicious prosecution in the Magistrates Court??

                      As that will more than likely be a summary rather than an eiher way offence we are probably talking of a regulatory offence which will be strict liability.

                      As the liability is strict there is no defence as such so no Mens rea (Guilty mind) required for conviction.
