Hopefully the SAR response may help further clarify things! Any hints at completing the questionnaire from the court which needs to be replied to by 7/9/2015? :beagle:

Yes the closing amount is the amount being claimed but for 6 months the only movement on the account was fees and interest so I suspect that towards the end of that time the account was defaulted.
I am wondering if there is a specific format for the NOA or specific words that need to be used

The reason this statement make me suspicious is the it only covers one year and only shows
the balance now being claimed ( I think that's right, but the site is so slow I can't look back through the thread.)
    A litle to convenient?

    Hi
As promised I have dug out my statement provided in my case by 1st Credit. It is almost identical although it covers a much longer period . It is headed statement 0 and the format is the same. It also includes interest rates. The3 only difference on mine is that it shows a closing balance of £0 which 1st Credit claim is just an accounting thing. If you want me to post up the cover page I can for you to compare, but it is in total 27 pages long

Ok not much to go on there!
    I'll get back to you.

Yes they have some points that may help.
    1. they would expect to see a Branch Header on the statement. (did you edit the other branch details out? These should be showing!
    2. The statement number 2. points. 1. it's 0 if this is an annual statement it should have a positive number 1- 2-3 etc. Monthly statements would also be numbered consecutively.
Comment " this looks like a repopulated statement form not one from a standard statement run"
Question can you reconcile the transactions and dates?

I suffered multiple bereavement, breakdown of marriage, loss of my home and finally my job in this 12 month period so I cannot recall if I ever contacted the bank about my situation.
I'll get back to Tomorrow pm Ditzee.

They add charges every month and for every item returned or paid when you are over any authorised O/D. I certainly do not agree with it . Between 1/12 and 31/3 the following year those B******* charged me £414 in fees let alone any interest.
I think you have said you are sending a SAR to Halifax so any letter or conversation like that should be recorded,
