Lowell purchased Freds a couple of years ago, so it's the same company: http://www.lowellgroup.co.uk/index.p...erlaken-group/

Lowell Group, a leading purchaser of non-performing consumer debt portfolios in the United Kingdom, has today announced the acquisition of Interlaken Group, including its widely known Fredrickson International brand. The deal, for an undisclosed sum, will see ownership of the Surrey-based debt collection agencies group transfer to Lowell Group, along with the 300 plus employees. It is a union of two well-established innovators in the debt recovery industry in the United Kingdom.

        1. Why is Lowell telling me to contact, Freds if its the same company?

        2. Why did Lowell not respond to the CCA request if its the same company?

FYI - I am not arguing that its a different company but just stating can they do what they have done?

          Re: CCJ Claim BRYAN CARTER

I don't know the full history of this account but it could be the account was originally managed by Freds and there may still be a separate database for Freds accounts within Lowell HQ. When there are mergers and acquisitions it can take years for full integration to take place.

Whether acting as Lowell or Freds, they wouldn't have a copy of the agreement on file, it would have to be requested from the original creditor. Regardless of their internal admin procedures, they still have to comply with the CCA request and failure to do so is still an argument for your defence. :thumb:
