  • Hoist Portfolio Holdings 2 Limited Court Claim

Hi Please help, I had a joint account with Santander in 2008 with my partner, I have not used the account since April 2008 but a debt of £1500 was run up. The account has not been used since February 2009. I have not received any chase letters and not accepted liability. In February 2015 I received notification from the County Court. I responded with a defence claiming that I believed the account was Statute Barred under the Limitations act. I have since heard from the court offering mediation which I have accepted but the Claimant Hoist have not responded so a court date is set for the 18/8/2015. I do not want a CCJ and I am not sure what to do next.

    Hi welcome to LB,

Have you checked with the court very recently?
What is the hearing for? Does the notice say?
