    Disagreement of rent due. After being hounded by baliffs for collection of rent being late for 5 days. Property is disrepair and made our lives stressful.

    What's happened since this claim was issued? Did you ever submit a defence? Your defence would have been due 28 days after the claim was issued. :ohwell:

    Would be useful if you could give us more details with regards to this property and what was wrong with it, etc.

    £20,000 is quite a bit of money, how much was your rent? Is that amount actual rent owed or is it to do with leaving the premises and not paying the rent before your lease expired?

    Could you type up the particulars of claim? :typing:

    Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service

    Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)

    If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
