  • Compaint against Halifax - who do I write to?

Hello, I would be grateful for any help possible.

Does anyone know who I complain to regarding Halifax Bank. This is regarding an outstanding loan with PPI attached. Halifax wrote to me regarding the same and my response was I would like my PPI payments back as it was mis-sold to me. Halifax never responded. I sent various letters (I have proof of posting). All they did was pass the matter to a debt collecting agency, then another, and then another (now with Cabot who issued a Summons against me via their solicitors Restons). I think I sent 4 letters to Halifax in total no response received. Initially Capquest wrote to me and I stated the same to them about the PPI. I want to complain about Halifax for selling a debt to an agency without bothering to correspond with me. It could have been settled amicably once the PPI had been dealt with. Does anyone know who I can write to please - is there some kind of governing body who would listen to me. Thank you for reading my problem and thank you in advance for any advice.

Hi des8, Thank you for your response.

When I filed my defence I also wrote to David Nicholson. Nearly a month later and I have received a response from the PPI Department who are looking into the matter (no response from David Nicholson or his side kick). They just apologised that my letters had gone unanswered. Because they went unanswered I am now in this situation whereby Restons are harassing me. They sent me a Summons and I sent a Defence based on the PPI situation. My Defence also included all copies of letters sent to Halifax since 2013. So I want to complain about Halifax in the strongest possible terms for ignoring my correspondence, my request for PPI repayment and for the fact that although I was writing to them, they were completely ignoring me,

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Tell this man then. He is CEO of Lloyds who own Halifax:

To add to what Des8 has said, I would add to the email that in the short term whilst the PPI is being dealt with that you want the Restons lot called off whilst the debt is in dispute.

Have restons started formal legal proceedings or simply sent letters or demands for cash?
