  • Defence due today

Hi I had a claim from Northampton CCBC, the claimants solicitors wrote to me after i sent them the CPR 31.14 and the other one asking for my consumer credit agreement. They said they agreed for a 28 day extension and i was to write to the court to inform them.

The creditor is Marlin and i don't trust them one bit, I have in theory got an extension until March 18th but the original deadline for defence was today.

They haven't sent me the consumer credit agreement as it is an egg card and it doesn't exist, should i file my defence today anyway and if so can someone please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in adavnce

Have you got written confirmation of the extension? and have you forwarded it onto the courts?

I have but not had any email confirmation from them our than the original auto response. I have phoned the court twice, once yesterday who said i had an extension until 18th March although didn't sound to confident and so i rang again today. The lady i spoke to today, after speaking to colleagues said I also had an extension until then but they await instructions from the claimant. I am just worried they will sneak in and I will get a judgement against me

If you've got an extension (and the court's confirmed this to you) then I'd say you'll be fine
